Summary: The article presents results of a research carried out with children from the second year of elementary school, in a public school in Rio de Janeiro, during 2019, with the general objective of showing evidence in the texts written by children that characterize the marks of a style of writing related to child authorship. The analysis of the written discourses of the participating subjects was based on Bakhtin’s Theory of Enunciation, adopting as a theoretical-methodological foundation for the investigation an articulation between the discursive and evidential dimensions. The results lead us to affirm that children, since the beginning of the literacy process, work with language, operating with different linguistic and expressive resources which reveal unique marks, already pointing to their own style of writing.
