The textile products, especially those for clothing, bedding, table, bath and decoration, are commercialized red and for the dyeing process to be carried out it is necessary to use several products in the dyeing bath. These solutions, when released into the environment, cause great problems to the bodies receiving water, affecting the aquatic flora and fauna, so it is necessary to look for products that help reduce the consumption of chemical agents and are biodegradable. In this sense, according to the literature, the use of β-Cyclodextrin helps mitigate these impacts. The general objective of this work is to compare the effluent generated in traditional dyeing and dyeing processes with β-Cyclodextrin, using the Lactuca Sativa (Phytotoxicity) bioassay. In the present work it was possible to observe that the presence or absence of Cyclodextrin does not leave the effluent significantly less aggressive to the environment when considering the phytotoxicity, since in both cases the seed development did not occur naturally, indicating that two effluents are substances harmful to aquatic bodies.
