Urban sprawl culminated in the increase of impermeable regions, directly influencing the overload of urban rainwater drainage systems due to increased runoff and reduced infiltration combined with poor maintenance of drainage systems leading to increased flood points. Looking at the problems, it was necessary to develop new systems, with compensatory systems being sustainable solutions to this issue. The infiltration ditch and the rain garden are compensatory techniques, the purpose of which is to increase the infiltration rate of Rainwater and reduce runoff. These solutions can be inserted into urban lots or public roads and can be adopted in master plans municipal. The research chose the city of Apucarana as a study área for the prototype sizing from the climate and soil data survey of the municipality. During the research it was observed better yield regarding the infiltration of water in the infiltration trench, presenting accumulated average infiltrations for the states: dry and wet to be larger than twice the rain garden. It can be mentioned the general average infiltration of the infiltration ditch that obtained value of 93.73ml / min, while the rain garden presented 33.13ml / min.
