Summary: The aim of this study is to question and conduct a criticalanalysis of the relations of knowledge, knowledge itself andthe capacities involved in the distance education process aidedby new technologies. It focuses on the ojbectivation of theknowledge of distance education and the materialization andproductivity of this type of work. The analysis considers: the training of the academic-professional workers in the units studied; the investments needed for training; the relationship between degrees and ability; the power relations/relations of knowledge; the relationship between educational k n o w l e d g e / e d u c a t i o n a l techniques; abilities and multiabilities;fragmentation and expropriation of the knowledge of the educational workers and virtual surplus value and profit invirtual distance education.

En el análisis se consideró la formaciónacadémica – profesional de los trabajadores de las unidadesestudiadas, las inversiones realizadas en esa formación, la relación título y competencia, las relaciones de poder y las relaciones de conocimiento, la relación entre los saberes docentes y los saberes técnicos, las competencias y lasmulticompetencias, la fragmentación y la expropiación del saber del trabajador de la educación, la plus valia virtual, y el lucro en la educación a distancia virtual.Objetiva-se, neste estudo, analisar criticamente as relações de saber, conhecimentos e competências travadas no processo educacional a distância mediado pelas novas tecnologias, enfocando a objetivação dos saberes da educação a distância e a materialização e produtividade desse tipo de trabalho.
