ASPECTOS SOCIOECONÔMICOS NO NÚCLEO DE DESERTIFICAÇÃO DE INHAMUNS-CE

This research presents studies of the Inhamuns Desertification Nucleus, located in the state of Ceará, formed by the municipalities of Tauá, Independência and Arneiroz. The municipalities under the present study are part of the Caatinga Biome, integrating the Meso-region of the SertãoCearense, and inserted in the Brazilian Semi-Arid. The aim of this study was to obtain socioeconomic indicators from the Instituto Nacional do Semiárido – INSA, Ministério de Ciência e Tecnologia - MCTI, Sistema de Gestão da Informação e do Conhecimento do SemiáridoBrasileiro – SIGSAB and from the Database data from theInstitutoBrasileiro de Geografia e Estatística – IBGE. In the comparison of 2011/2015 of the herds there was a decrease in the numbers of heads for two municipalities due to the drought that has affected the semi-arid since 2011. For the temporary crops there were decreases in the harvested areas of beans, castor beans and corn. There was also a decrease in the production of bovine milk and a significant increase in the financial value of the same. It was concluded that for temporary crops, the most fragile was the bean crop with decreases of area, productivity and commercialization. Reflecting the drought episode from 2011 to 2015. Similar studies are recommended in other nucleus in order to have an effective mitigation and intervention policy to be applied,facing the obtainedresults.
