Summary: This study was to analyze the behavior of third graders - class "A" - the Caetano Pinto State School for teacher's lessons the curriculum component of Geography in Educational Technology Center (STE) across the Facebook social media in building collaborative knowledge. The work is the result of a combination of teaching practice developed in the classroom, by carrying out initiation activities to teaching, for fellows PIBID /EaD / UFGD. The use of social media as an educational resource has been shown to have potential as a learning tool if implemented.

Esse ambiente é um espaço rico, principalmente para a construção do conhecimento, sendo favorecida pelas relações sociais feitas por intermédio dos membros que dela fazem parte. O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar o comportamento dos alunos da terceira série – turma “A” – da Escola Estadual Caetano Pinto durante as aulas do professor do componente curricular de Geografia, na Sala de Tecnologia Educacional (STE), frente à mídia social Facebook na construção do conhecimento colaborativo. O trabalho é resultado da conjugação da prática de ensino desenvolvida em sala de aula, com a realização de atividades de iniciação à docência, por bolsistas do PIBID/EaD/UFGD.
