Summary: It refers to an interview with the artist professor Maria Pinho Gemaque. Known as Mapige, the visual-activist artist, from the north, works with creative processes in visual poetics, performance, drawing, collages, photography, urban intervention, video art, artistic installation, artist's book, film.doc, cultural production, exhibition curation, exchange and artistic experience. Weaving a dialogue between art and the teaching artist, I explore Mapige's processes of creation, artistic intervention, performances and artistic actions with the aim of expanding reflection on contemporary art, aesthetic experience and teaching. I propose to think about artistic practice from its pedagogical, political and discursive dimension that is reflected in Mapige's work. Using netnography methodological processes, the interview was carried out via the social network WhatsApp, in December 2021 due to the distancing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the flu outbreak. The result of the interview was an inspiring conversation, full of curiosities and discoveries about the artist's life, creative process and work.

Tejiendo un diálogo entre el arte y el artista docente, exploro los procesos de creación, intervención artística, performances y acciones artísticas de Mapige con el objetivo de ampliar la reflexión sobre el arte contemporáneo, la experiencia estética y la enseñanza. Propongo pensar la práctica artística desde su dimensión pedagógica, política y discursiva que se refleja en la obra de Mapige. Utilizando procesos metodológicos de netnografía, la entrevista se realizó a través de la red social WhatsApp, en diciembre de 2021 debido a los efectos de distanciamiento de la pandemia de Covid-19 y el brote de gripe. El resultado de la entrevista fue una conversación inspiradora, llena de curiosidades y descubrimientos sobre la vida, el proceso creativo y la obra del artista.Refere-se a uma entrevista com a artista professora Maria Pinho Gemaque. Conhecida como Mapige a artista visual-ativista, nortista, trabalha com processos de criações em poéticas visuais, performance, desenho, colagens, fotografia, intervenção urbana, videoarte, instalação artística, livro de artista, filme.doc, produção cultural, curadoria de exposições, intercâmbio e vivência artística. Tecendo um diálogo entre arte e a artista professora percorro os processos de criação, intervenção artística, performances e ações artísticas de Mapige com o objetivo de ampliar a reflexão sobre a arte contemporânea, experiência estética e à docência. Proponho pensar a prática artística a partir da sua dimensão pedagógica, política e discursiva que se reflete na obra de Mapige.
