Summary: This research work refers to the theme of art as creative support, in the area of contemporary fashion design, whose goal was to reference some events in the history of fashion influenced and inspired by art, through studies carried out in which art reflects the moment, and the artist uses and builds its own history. Fashion represents the present time and the portrait of various cultures, while art shows the message of fashion through the decoding of design and colours in a creative and innovative way, generating feelings and emotions in the observer. In the current era the consumer values products with exponentially aesthetic, symbolic and psychological values that consequently provide the privilege of the aesthetic experience, considering the designer a recognized creator, with new experiences and ideas that meet the satisfaction of the consumer for which they were created.

La moda representa la actualidad y el retrato de diversas culturas, mientras que el arte muestra el mensaje de la moda a través de la decodificación del diseño y los colores de forma creativa e innovadora, generando sentimientos y emociones en el observador. En la época actual el consumidor valora los productos con valores exponencialmente estéticos, simbólicos y psicológicos que consecuentemente proporcionan el privilegio de la experiencia estética, considerando al diseñador un creador reconocido, con nuevas experiencias e ideas que cumplen con la satisfacción del consumidor para el que fueron creados.Este trabalho de investigação remete para o tema da arte como suporte criativo, na área do design da moda contemporânea, cujo objetivo foi referenciar alguns acontecimentos da história da moda influenciados e inspirados pela arte, através de estudos realizados em que a arte reflete o momento, e o artista utiliza e constrói a sua própria história. A moda representa a atualidade e o retrato de várias culturas, enquanto a arte mostra a mensagem da moda através da descodificação do design e das cores de forma criativa e inovadora, gerando sentimentos e emoções no observador.
