Este texto teve como primeiro propósito saber se existe um pensamento estratégico lusófono. Concluímos que é incipiente e, que a projeção do pensamento estratégico só pode ter consequência prática no contexto da CPLP. Este foi o percurso utilizado, para alcançar o objetivo primordial da nossa investigação, apresentar contributos para o desenvolvimento de um pensamento estratégico lusófono, na dimensão estratégica da organização, alicerçada nos seus pilares político, cultural, social, económico e militar. Esta investigação tem como referência: que riscos e ameaças são comuns aos Estados membros da CPLP; de que forma a arquitetura organizacional da CPLP tem evoluído e está preparada para responder aos desafios estratégicos da Organização; qual a estrutura e modelo de formulação estratégica instituída na organização. Procuramos assim, utilizando o método hipotético-dedutivo, descrever “o que temos à nossa volta”, para entender “o que somos e o que temos feito”, e para analisar “até onde podemos chegar”. Abstract: This article pursues, as first goal, if a Lusophone strategic thinking exists. We conclude that is just in the beginning and that the projection of strategic thinking can only have practical consequence in the context of the CPLP. This was the methodology used to achieve the primary goal of our research, purpose contributions to the development of a Lusophone strategic thinking, in the strategic dimension of the organization, based on their political pillars, cultural, social, economic and military. This research will reference: risks and threats that are common to the member states of the CPLP; how the CPLP organizational architecture has evolved and is prepared to respond to the strategic challenges of the Organization; which the structure and strategy formulation model established in the organization. We try so using the hypotheticaldeductive method, describe "what we have around us," to understand "who we are and what we have done," and to examine "how far we can get."
