The Tariff Sheet (TS), managed by the Fed´ eration Internationale ´ de Gymnastique (FIG), represents athletes’ routines and is used by coaches and judges during competitions. FIG’s extensive and complex manuals are difficult to interpret without prior experience, further complicating the traditional manual process for generating and scoring TS exercises. This process stands out within the various systems automated by Acro Companion, a company specialized in gymnastics software for competition management, club membership, TS creation, real-time judging, and scoring. This project, developed at Acro Companion, focuses on improving the Acrobatic System for TS creation, real-time judging, and scoring. The system faced three distinct issues. Firstly, the incomplete functionalities for creating and judging TS, make many operations to be still performed manually, often through value overrides. Secondly, the system’s structure and score calculations have several inefficiencies, which led Acro Companion’s team to postpone finding solutions due to the fragility, lack of readability, and difficulty in maintaining the Acrobatic System. Thirdly, with poorly designed test environments, the custom test framework is inadequate for efficient testing. The project aimed to align the Acrobatic System with FIG standards, minimize the need for manual score adjustments, enhance the system’s structure, optimize performance, and implement a robust end-to-end testing framework. The results of this project were significant in terms of robustness, reliability, and efficiency for more complete and accurate functionalities, with enhanced performance through reactivity and a redesigned module structure.
