TOPONYMIC NAMING OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BRAGANÇA/PA IN THE GENERAL AMAZONIAN LANGUAGE: INTERFACE BETWEEN WORD CREATION AND BRAZILIAN NATIONAL IDENTITY

Resumo: The secondary objective of this article was to analyze and describe 91 specific elements of Nheengatu toponymy in the municipality of Bragança/PA, selected from Araújo's master's thesis (2019), based on two approaches: the first is based on the new trends in creation of words, by Gonçalves (2016); the second, in French Discourse Analysis, based on the ideas of Maingueneau (1997 and 2008) and Orlandi (2009), with the main objective of understanding the interdiscursive relationships that are evident in the choice of the place name in Nheengatu, since naming was made by a monolingual subject in Portuguese, supported by the text entitled The General Language as a Constructed Identity, by Barros et al. (1996). The geographic elements of Bragança/PA studied were labeled in Portuguese, based on borrowings from Nheengatu, evidencing a stimulus from nationalist thought, belonging to the first generation of the Brazilian romantic movement. This phenomenon allows not only to frame the artistic-literary movements in the set of new trends of lexical expansion in the morphology of current Portuguese, but also to exalt the historical constitution of defense to the formation of a Brazilian National Identity.   Keywords: Toponymic Naming. Morphology.El objetivo secundario de este artículo fue analizar y describir 91 elementos específicos de la toponimia nheengatu en el municipio de Bragança/PA, seleccionados de la tesis de maestría de Araújo (2019), a partir de dos enfoques: el primero se basa en las nuevas tendencias en la creación de palabras, por Gonçalves (2016); el segundo, en el Análisis del Discurso Francés, en las ideas de Maingueneau (1997 y 2008) y Orlandi (2009), con el principal objetivo de comprender las relaciones interdiscursivas que se evidencian en la elección del topónimo en nheengatu, ya que la naming era realizado por un sujeto monolingüe en portugués, utilizando como soporte el texto titulado A Língua Geral como Identidade Construída, de Barros et al. (1996). Los elementos geográficos de Bragança/PA estudiados fueron etiquetados en portugués, a partir de préstamos del nheengatu, evidenciando un estímulo proveniente del pensamiento nacionalista, perteneciente a la primera generación del movimiento romántico brasileño. Este fenómeno permite no sólo encuadrar los movimientos artístico-literarios dentro del conjunto de nuevas tendencias de expansión léxica en la morfología del portugués actual, sino también exaltar la constitución histórica en defensa de la formación de una Identidad Nacional brasileña. Morfología.Este artigo teve como objetivo secundário analisar e descrever 91 elementos específicos da toponímia nheengatu do município de Bragança/PA, selecionados da dissertação de mestrado de Araújo (2019), com base em dois enfoques: o primeiro se fundamenta nas novas tendências de criação de palavras, de Gonçalves (2016); o segundo, na Análise do Discurso francesa, nas ideias de Maingueneau (1997 e 2008) e Orlandi (2009), com o objetivo principal de compreender as relações interdiscursivas que se evidenciam na escolha do nome de lugar em nheengatu, uma vez que a nomeação foi feita por um sujeito monolíngue em Língua Portuguesa, tendo como suporte, para isso, o texto intitulado A Língua Geral como Identidade Construída, de Barros et al. (1996). Os elementos geográficos de Bragança/PA estudados foram rotulados em língua portuguesa, a partir de empréstimos junto ao nheengatu, evidenciando um estímulo proveniente do pensamento nacionalista, pertencente à primeira geração do movimento romântico brasileiro. Esse fenômeno permite não apenas enquadrar os movimentos artístico-literários no conjunto de novas tendências de ampliação lexical na morfologia do português atual, mas também exaltar a constituição histórica de defesa à formação de uma Identidade Nacional Brasileira.   Palavras-chave: Nomeação Toponímica.
