Analysis of the career trajectory of women in leadership positions in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul

Summary: The participation of women in the labor market did not happen suddenly. For this, women began to work intensely and strategically on their career and leadership trajectory (Chagas et al., 2022; Dantas, 2023). This study aims to carry out an analysis of the career trajectory of women in leadership positions in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul and in different areas of activity, namely commerce, civil construction, politics, agribusiness and the Brazilian army. For this, a descriptive and qualitative research was carried out, based on semi-structured interviews with a sample of five women in leadership positions. After content analysis, it was possible to perceive from the findings that the formation, the support of the family and the companies in which the interviewees worked were fundamental for their development. In addition, they faced prejudices during their trajectories, but that made them grow, making this double life pleasant and harmonious, motivating them more and more.

Para lograrlo, las mujeres comenzaron a trabajar intensa y estratégicamente en su camino profesional y de liderazgo (Chagas et al., 2022; Dantas, 2023). Así, este estudio tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis de la trayectoria profesional de las mujeres en puestos de liderazgo en la región central de Rio Grande do Sul y en diferentes áreas de actividad, a saber, comercio, construcción civil, política, agronegocios y ejército brasileño. Para ello se realizó una investigación descriptiva y cualitativa, basada en entrevistas semiestructuradas a una muestra de cinco mujeres en puestos de liderazgo. Luego del análisis de contenido, se pudo constatar en los hallazgos que la capacitación, el apoyo familiar y las empresas en las que trabajaban los entrevistados fueron fundamentales para su desarrollo. Además, enfrentaron prejuicios durante su carrera, pero estos los hicieron crecer, haciendo placentera y armoniosa esta doble vida, motivándolos cada vez más.A participação da mulher no mercado de trabalho não se deu repentinamente. Para isso, as mulheres passaram a trabalhar de forma intensa e estratégica a sua trajetória de carreira e de liderança (Chagas et al., 2022; Dantas, 2023). Assim, este estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma análise na trajetória de carreira de mulheres em cargos de liderança na região central do Rio Grande do Sul e, em diferentes áreas de atuação, sendo elas, comércio, construção civil, política, agronegócio e exército brasileiro. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa de natureza descritiva e qualitativa, a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas em uma amostra de cinco mulheres em cargos de liderança. Após análise de conteúdo foi possível perceber a partir dos achados que a formação, o apoio da família e as empresas em que as entrevistadas trabalharam foram fundamentais para o desenvolvimento das mesmas.
