Shrnutí: | This article addresses the role of social workers in the socio-legal field, focusing on "The contributions of Social Work in the Juvenile Court in addressing cases of violence against children and adolescents." The proposed objectives relate to the analysis of the challenges, professional competencies, and ways of confronting violence that permeate this theme. The methodology adopted is characterized as bibliographic research, exploratory in nature and with a qualitative approach, based on seven materials used for data collection, including review articles, master's dissertations, and interviews. The ways of confronting cases of violence are directly linked to professional competencies, through actions aligned with theoretical-methodological, technical-operational dimensions and the professional ethical-political project. The challenges of this work are linked to institutional conditions, frequently marked by principles of social surveillance, regarding the processes of precarious working conditions and hours, which directly impact professional practice. |
