Summary: | David Joseph Bohm was an US physicist responsible for works related to Theoretical Physics, Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics and the relationship between human knowledge and Nature. In the present work we develop a metalinguistic analysis on Bohm’s didactic utterance to Quantum Theory expressed through his textbook Quantum Theory (1951), elaborated from his teaching experience during the 1940s. For the metalinguistic analysis, we rely on Mikhail Bakhtin’s Philosophy of Language and identify the discursive and epistemic elements that permeate Bohm’s utterance. Finally, from the identified characteristics, we problematize the relationship between teaching and researching science, characterizing its core reciprocity of its pedagogical-formative dimension. |
