Resumo: | Reading is considered one of the main ways of knowledge consolidation and one construction instrument of citizenship autonomy; the literary texts, due to the possibilities of activating a reflection process on the reader, is presented as the most efficient way to do so. In an attempt to contribute for the readers education, this investigative work aims at stimulating the seduction for the reading of narrative literary texts through the selection proposed by the 4th and 5th edition of Passo Fundo Zaffari and Bourbon s Literature Prize and the reading of short texts chronicles, short stories, cordel poems, letters and biographies most of them from contemporary authors. Supported on the Aesthetic of Reception proposed by Jauss and Iser, on the approach of Cristina Mello s issues on gender, on the theories of reading and on the theoretical formulations about contemporary literature, this research, which has a qualitative nature, evolved the formation of two groups or readers, who are responsible for the reading and discussion about the works and the texts. The recording of information, viable through oral statements, a written questionnaire and direct observation, showed that the fiction of present gathers the best conditions to attract the readers, due to biodiversity and styles plurality, and because it makes possible a higher identification between text and the reader |
