الملخص: | The present study investigates the provision of English language teaching in private basic education schools in Passo Fundo, focusing on Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education I. With the aim of describing the teacher profile demanded by institutions in this context, a survey was carried out data collection through a semi-structured questionnaire, aimed at representatives of these schools. The data made it possible to map English language teaching modalities, including programs, projects, bilingual teaching and extended workload projects, as well as characterize the offers and identify the main institutional demands in relation to the profile of teachers. The results obtained make it possible to understand the profile of an English teacher expected in this specific context, in addition to offering data so that undergraduates, especially in Letras, can discuss the training process in relation to the job market. |
