Gaia: The present work aims to study the impacts that the Covid 19 pandemic had on the profitability of investments in Brazil, investments that are: savings account, Bank Deposit Certificate, Real Estate Credit Letter, National Treasury Bond and shares, represented by the Bovespa Index. The scientific research was carried out through the method of evaluation of results and also descriptive, in which historical data taken from official websites such as the Central Bank of Brazil, Direct Treasury and B3 were used, therefore the technical procedure is defined as documentary research. For the analysis of the data, a simulation was made of an investment of R$1,000.00 (one thousand reais) in each of the assets, where first the results were analyzed separately and then, the nominal and real profitability, with contributions in all periods. It was concluded that market fluctuations, with the presence of systemic risk, favor a hybrid fixed income investment, indexed to inflation plus a fixed rate. The ideal investment portfolio was also calculated using the Markowitz Theory, which resulted in a contribution of more than 70% in the IPCA+2035 asset.
