Тойм: | For many years, women have had to fight to gain a place in the job market. However, society has gradually seen women entering a variety of sectors. Women are gaining ground in the primary sector, and their participation in agribusiness has been increasing, given the importance and representativeness of this sector for the economy. Thus, this study aimed to identify the main factors that influence the evolution of women's participation in agribusiness, considering their career expectations, professional satisfaction, and the challenges faced in the sector. To this end, a qualitative and quantitative study was conducted, with the application of a questionnaire that was answered by a total of 35 women working in the agribusiness sector in the city of Marau. Based on the questionnaire, it was found that women working in agribusiness are able to reconcile their personal and professional lives, and both subordinates and bosses accept their opinions and commands. Furthermore, the vast majority of the interviewees reported that they are very satisfied with their work in agribusiness and that people trust the potential of women to lead the sector, both in management positions and in property management. However, the biggest challenge remains prejudice, given that, for many years, this sector was dominated by men. Despite the significant progress observed, prejudice is still experienced by women who seek satisfaction with their professional performance in agriculture. |
