Zusammenfassung: | The names "black literature" and "Afro-Brazilian literature" are ideological choices that seek to give meaning to the processes of identity formation of groups historically excluded. "Black literature" refers to literary works produced by black authors who explore experiences, cultures and issues related to black identity, often addressing themes of racism, resistance and African cultural heritage. The "literature Afro-Brazilian" encompasses the literary production of black Brazilian authors, focusing on the experiences and particularities of Afro-descendant life in Brazil, emphasizing the cultural and historical specificity of the Brazilian context. However, the use of these terms raises questions about their implications and effectiveness as theoretical and critics, as discussed by Eduardo de Assis Duarte. Duarte states that “the oral tradition played a crucial role in the development of the first manifestations of literature black people in Brazil, verbally transmitting African stories, songs, myths and rituals between Afro-descendant communities as an essential means to preserve and transmit the rich heritage culture of these groups” (DUARTE, 2010, p. 16). |
