Summary: A detailed understanding of the end uses of water enables a more accurate pre- diction of water demand in buildings, providing essential information about daily consumption patterns, seasonal variations, usage habits, and leak detection. This information is crucial for defining more efficient water conservation strategies. The aim of this study was to analyze the end uses of water in a primary care unit (UPA) in Brasília-DF. The method involved installing flow meters connected to data loggers to monitor usage habits and water consumption patterns for each plumbing fixture. Based on the data collected, information was obtained on water volume, usage time, equipment flow rate, and daily usage frequency. The results showed an average building consumption of 2,653 m³/year, with the highest con- sumption recorded in the toilets (39%). The consumption indicators were 17.05 liters per person per day, 4.70 liters per square meter of built area per day, and 484.57 liters per bed per day. These data can be used to estimate water con- sumption in new healthcare facilities, identify effective conservation strategies, and improve urban water demand forecasting models.
