Resumo: | We trace the presupposed images in the explanation of the human prosocial behavior and its evolution that have led more than a century and a half the evolutionary thought and have generated a dramatic influence in the way in which we have studied and evaluated the knowledge on unicellular and multicellular organisms as well as colonies and societies. With the historiographic work of identifying the images of nature and images of science in the explanations about the evolution of cooperation and altruism, the reconstruction of scientific activity and the understanding of the dynamics of prevailing theories is partially achieved, also its incidence in the emergence and development of alternative explanations to the orthodoxy of group selection. |
