Achoimre: | The thesis is a study about labor in Goiás. It analyzes how the advance of capitalism engenders urban-industrial society in the state, have repercussions on the sociability of the working class, especially after the 1970s, when industrial policies became more efficient, transforming the economic and social context, from the industrialization and urbanization of the south-central region of the state. Anchored in the theoretical and methodological framework of Marxist dialectics, it develops descriptive and bibliographic research. It comprises the historical and conceptual articulation of work, the capitalist mode of production and quotidian life as producers of the social exploitation of the working class. It investigates the expansion of capitalist accumulation in Brazil and Goiás, through the analysis of primitive accumulation, which result in the political and economic formation of the urban-industrial society project, updating the region's dependent underdevelopment. In Goiás, this process brings up to date the ideology of progress and modernity as an argument that seeks to legitimize social transformations promoted for capitalist exploitation and domination. This project of society has an impact on the formation of the working class, forging a way of social exploitation, through the organization and disciplining of work and the precariousness of the conditions for the reproduction of livelihoods. Workers experience daily life mediating the contradictions between their social aspirations, glimpsed in the economic and social possibilities presented by urban-industrial society, and suffering, struggles and resistance to urban-industrial work. |
