Crynodeb: | The research on the Royal Hospital Militar de Vila Boa had as its main objectives to analyze the creation, administration, functioning, diseases and the 'healing arts' present in this institution. To this end, I emphasized the analysis of diseases that raged in the captaincy of Goiás in the second half of the eighteenth century and early nineteenth century, the treatments and therapeutics: the medicines used at the Royal Hospital Militar de Vila Boa coming from "mestizo medicine". As a result, other research objectives were to analyze the mestizo society that constituted the captaincy of Goiás in the second half of the eighteenth century and early nineteenth century. Identify the logic of mercy installed in the Guayazes mining society, at the mercy of the military positions given to the captain's mestizos in the Pedestrian Company, paid troop. At the mercy of the hospital's top administrators, Lourenço Antonio da Neiva and Bartholomeu Lourenço da Silva, and at the mercy of hospital treatment to the paid troops, the Dragons and Pedestrians Company and how the Dragons Company had greater privileges in the treatment of diseases at the Military Hospital by military and social hierarchy (color and quality). |
