This is what eleven authors answer in this work that is already born obligatory for those who want to understand how we arrived at the current global socio-political scenario and, most importantly, the impacts on our lives in the medium and long term of this turn to the right. The precise analyzes of Michael Löwy, Hernán Ramírez, David Moreno Montenegro, Rejane Carolina Hoeveler, Celina Lerner, Fabiano Godinho Faria, Michelangelo Torres, Felipe Cazetta, Cícero João da Costa Filho, Fabio Gentile and Mauro Luiz Barbosa Marques bring us an alert that we live not only a political polarization, but a period of conflicts caused by the clash of antagonistic worldviews: on the one hand, the defense of a plural society and, on the other, the attempt to silence dissonant voices through the uncompromising maintenance of a grounded discourse in hatred and fear of the different. |
