总结: | This study's main objective is to discuss the place of memory in historical research undertaken by the French philosopher Michel Foucault, who was responsible for the development of two methodological fronts of work: the archeology of knowledge and the genealogy of power, known today as Foucauldian archaeogenealogy. . Over more than 30 years dedicated to this research, Michel Foucault gained national and international recognition for his disturbing way of combining political activism with academic work, demonstrating, in this way, what was the role of the intellectual in the face of challenges and demands in the world. post-war world. He received the greatest honor in the world of French intellectuality when he was elected professor at the famous Collège de France, assuming, for more than a decade, the chair in the history of systems of thought. In one of his last interviews, he declared that all his gestures had the main objective: to create the story of how human beings become subjects in our culture. This statement makes it clear what place history occupies in his work, but what would be the place of memory in these endeavors? Why does history appear in your work as a privileged place while memory has a supporting role? These are the initial reflections that we seek to carry out in this work. |
